Westminster 7:10 Rotary Club

$500 Scholarships

 

Scholarships. Six $500.00 scholarships are available to high school seniors.  This is a one time grant of $500.00.  These scholarships are provided by the Westminster 7:10 Rotary Club (the “Morning” club).  These scholarships are in addition to any sponsored by the other Westminster Rotary Club (the “Noon” club).   You are encouraged to apply for both scholarships.

 

Criteria. The high school scholarships will be awarded to residents of Westminster who are currently high school seniors. The scholarships will be based upon academic achievement, leadership skills, community involvement, responses to the application questions, and a personal interview. Finalists will be interviewed by the Scholarship Committee in late March.

 

Scholarship delivery. The $500.00 scholarship check will be mailed directly to the Financial Aid Office at the recipient’s chosen school. After the award made, the recipient must provide the name, address and phone number of the school’s Financial Aid Office

 

Deadline. A complete application package must be received by March 11, 2011. It may be mailed, emailed or hand delivered to:

Application Package. Your application package must include all of the following:

(1) a completed application form;

(2) a photocopy of your high school transcript; and

(3) one letter of recommendation which includes the writer’s address and telephone number for follow-up.
